Hat jemand eine Ahnung, was es mit dem Secure Transaction Program auf sich hat?
Bei einer Überweisung nutze ich doch schon die ganze Zeit einen Token. Was ist da anders oder neues?

Keine Mail bekommen?
Ansonsten mal unter Kontoverwaltung einloggen, da gibts unter Fundings einen neuen Button mit dem Secure Transaction Program.

Hm, komisch, ich hab einen Universal Account mit EUR als Basiskonto. Daran kanns also nicht liegen.

Hier die Mail von heute Nacht:

Dear Trader,

I would like to invite you to join IB's industry leading Secure Transaction Program (STP).

We believe that this Program is the first of its kind and will establish the standard for security among direct access online brokerage firms. We strongly encourage all IB customers to participate in the program. Here are the highlights:

The IB Identity Token:

An IB Identity Token that will be delivered to their residential address or principal place of business. The IB Identity Token is a small device (small enough to fit on your key chain) that generates unique, secure passwords for each IB logon for secure transactions. The passwords generated by the token can only be used once and therefore they are no good to snoops and hackers. Even if someone were to steal your IB user name and your regular password, they could not withdraw funds from your account or change your confidential information without also having physical possession of your IB Identity Token. In addition the token is locked by a Personal Identification Number (or PIN) so that only you will be able to access the secure passwords.

No Cost:

Your account qualifies for the Identity Token at no charge. If you join the program and subsequently close your account, an amount equivalent to 150 US dollars will be withheld. The amount withheld will be returned provided that the Identity Token has been returned to IB within 21 days of the account closure.

How to Sign Up:

To sign up for an IB Identity Token, login to the IB web site, login to the Account Management section and select Secure Transaction Program. The token will be delivered to you right away. You will then have a period of one week in which to activate the token via the IB web site. IB will automatically activate the token after the week has passed. Once the token has been activated, you must login using your token whenever you initiate a withdrawal or other banking transaction, or whenever you change any confidential information on file with IB.

Token Not Required for Trading:

Whether or not you are signed up for an IB Identity Token, the token is not required in order to login to the Trader Workstation and trade. The token is only required to initiate funds and banking transactions and to change your confidential information. You will have the option to further secure your account by requiring the use of the Identity Token for login to the Trader Workstation.

Questions About the Secure Transaction Program:

If you have any questions regarding IB's Secure Transaction Program, please contact IB's Technical Assistance Center.

As always, thank you for your business.
